My wife Sara always hoped to purchase one of her grandfather’s, John Thomas Scales, properties. Of all his farms, the 2818 Sanford Road property has always been her favorite. She recites many fond memories with her grandfather — being around the cattle, picking blackberries, having picnic lunches, and splashing in the creek as a young girl.
Mr. Scales purchased the farm from the Polk family and it collectively has been a working farm for over 100 years. With our purchase of the property, we decided to embark on a life mission to provide a place of “true soul care.”
Our mission was to launch a multi-dimensional business that honors two of my mentors, Sara’s grandfather, Mr. John Thomas Scales and my father, Mr. Albert Otis Garrison, by farming with an emphasis on habitat restoration and to create a lodge as a centerpiece for both commerce and retreat.
The Sanford Road property has been turned into a sanctuary for wildlife, a retreat location for events and a first class place to create God honoring memories.
The Herman Road property is home to our cattle operation of 100% all natural, hormone free Angus beef. We pride ourselves in growing and sharing the highest quality, cared for beef grown in Middle Tennessee.
